Ultimate Guide to Organic Greek Yogurt Mixes I Make and Eat Every Day

I've always hated Greek Yogurt.

It tasted sour and lacked any flavor.

However that has changed.

For the last 5 months, every time I wake up I have to have my Greek Yogurt.

But I still don't eat it by itself.

My Mom recommended that I create a mix of different ingredients to mix with Greek Yogurt so it's enjoyable to eat. So I decided to test out few mixes. I've narrowed down to two different Yogurt combinations I now always make for breakfast.

Not only do they taste good, they are extremely healthy and are packed with protein, vitamins and essential minerals in just one mix.

Greek Yogurt Benefits

There are a lot of benefits to Greek Yogurt. Here is why I eat it:

  • Full of protein (16 grams per serving on the one I use)
  • Probiotics (healthy bacteria that boosts your immune system and decreases stomach issues)
  • Calcium (good for bones)
  • B12 (key ingredient your body needs; good for energy and brain function)

You can spend an entire day reading about how Greek Yogurt is good for you. But this post isn't about that.

I created 2 Greek Yogurt mixes that I switch between. This way I never get bored eating the same thing and I get even more health benefits from additional ingredients I introduce into the mix.

Which Greek Yogurt I Buy

First is what Greek Yogurt I buy. There are two brands I enjoy eating (both are organic):

Here is a list of all the ingredients I use. I don't use them all at the same time. I will share the two different mixes I create later in the post. This list is ALL ingredients so you know what they are. Then later you can mix variety of these to create your own Greek Yogurt mixes.

So now you have the list of all ingredients here are the two Greek Yogurt mixes I make.

Greek Yogurt Mix #1 (Quick)

First mix can be made quick and eaten right away.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 Cup of walnuts or pecans
  • 1/4 Cup of raisins
  • 1 over the top Teaspoon of Raw Cacao
  • 1 serving (5 big Tablespoons) of Greek Yogurt
  • Small amount of honey for extra sweetness

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients into a cup
  • Add a bit of water and mix with a spoon
  • Top it off with a bit of honey; this is optional if you want it a bit sweeter

Greek Yogurt Mix #1 is done!

Greek Yogurt Mix #2 (Requires Overnight Wait)

This second mix requires you to wait overnight for the Chia Seeds and Oats to absorb moisture from the Greek Yogurt and water.

Make this the night before and it will be ready to eat the next morning.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 Cup of oats
  • 1/4 Cup of raisins
  • 1 heaping Tablespoon of Chia Seedss
  • 1 heaping Teaspoon of Bee Pollen
  • 1 over the top Teaspoon of Raw Cacao
  • 1 serving (5 big Tablespoons) of Greek Yogurt
  • Add small amount of honey for extra sweetness

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients into a cup
  • Add a bit of water and mix with a spoon
  • Top it off with a bit of honey (optional if you want it a bit sweeter)
  • Cover it up with Saran wrap
  • Put it into fridge overnight
  • In the morning you might need to add more water and mix again as it gets a little thick overnight
